A long history beginning from a tight spiritual relationship: the one of a young and sick seminarian climbing the Gargano mountain to meet a “miraculous priest”.

And the miracle actually occurred! In the body with an extraordinary healing and in the soul with a tight bond which still goes on. Padre Pio assigned don Pierino Galeone, a young seminarian become priest, the task of gathering several people to keep his mission alive: joining crucified and resurrected Jesus to save the world. It will be the first center of Istituto Secolare Servi della Sofferenza which has now spread globally! Men and women, atheists and priests, family experiencing the joy of belonging to God every day.
And then the dream of a shelter to welcome pilgrims, a house which will rise on a land indicate by Padre Pio from the convent porch … long years filled with hurdles and faith in that word and finally in 2003 the inauguration of Padre Pio Spiritual Center!
A few meters from that porch now rises a hotel, a shelter to reach and … take a breath, a place helping to recover one’s hearth peace, the right relationship with God, the quality of relationships… the best of one’s own life filled with the holiness and spirituality of San Pio da Pietrelcina.
